If You Are HIV Negative

Participating in a clinical trial gives you an opportunity to help determine the best ways to keep HIV negative people safe from getting AIDS. Emory is currently studying experimental AIDS vaccines, microbicides (to prevent women from getting HIV from men during sex), and behavioral interventions that help people develop the attitudes and skills needed to remain uninfected.

Hope Clinic Trials

The mission of the HOPE Clinic is to improve the health of people throughout the world by developing safe and effective vaccines and other prevention methods against HIV and other infectious diseases. The Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center is one of the vaccine clinical trial sites of the Emory School of Medicine. It work closely with the Emory CFAR and other local and national research organizations to understand immune system responses to vaccines and to help bring safe and effective vaccines into clinical practice.

If You Are HIV Positive

Participating in a clinical trial gives you an opportunity to contribute to knowledge that may change the standard of care for the treatment of HIV around the world. The studies below are taking place at the Ponce Center, Emory Hospital Midtown, and the VA Medical Center. They are organized into categories based on treatment methods and experience.

Current Trials in Recruitment at the Ponce Center

The Ponce Center houses a primary care clinic serving both men and women, and a family clinic that treats mothers along with their children. It also includes a dental clinic, a mental health clinic, a research area for clinical drug trials and an infusion area where intravenous therapies are administered on an outpatient basis.
