CFAR Spotlight
HIV Clinical Trials Unit selected to join the HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN)
Receive $4.8M 3-year grant
CFAR congratulates our clinical trials unit for their recent inclusion in the HPTN.
Funded by the Division of AIDS in the NIAID, the HPTN is an international, collaborative clinical trials group with the purpose of developing and testing non-vaccine interventions designed to prevent HIV transmission.
This is an outstanding accomplishment for CFAR Investigators who will conduct their research at the Ponce de Leon Center of Grady Hospital and the Hope Clinic of the Emory Vaccine Center.
The HPTN Principal Investigators are CFAR faculty:
Jeffrey Lennox, MD
Carlos del Rio, MD
Paula Frew, PhD
David Malebranche, MD
Gina Wingood, ScD
