CFAR Science Poster Service

The Science Poster Service of the CFAR Developmental Core seeks to meet two goals:
1. To provide mentorship in the effective presentation of research and its results
2. To assist investigators in disseminating the results of their HIV/AIDS research.

POSTER DESIGN MENTORING

Purpose:
To assist CFAR members in learning how to design a scientific poster that is optimized for:
      • Effectively and efficiently summarizing a research project and its results
      • Stimulating interest in and discussion about the poster’s content

Eligibility:
• All CFAR members

Services:
• Free workshops on poster design best practices
 
• Free individual assistance with poster layout and content
• Free printing (limit one poster ≤ $150) for workshop graduates (download copy of instructions below)

   more information as soon as you have had an abstract accepted.

POSTER PRINTING SERVICE

Purpose:
To assist early career HIV/AIDS investigators in disseminating the results of their HIV research

Eligibility:
 

• CFAR Investigators and CFAR Adjunct Investigators
     who are presenting data on current, unfunded HIV/AIDS related research
     for which they are the PI or Co-PI (limit < $150 per conference)

• Current and past CFAR Developmental Core CFAR03, i-CFAR03, and
     Micro Grant recipients who are presenting data associated with their
     CFAR-funded research (limit ≤ $150 per conference)

Process:

  1. Follow stylistic guidelines
  2. Acknowledge the CFAR
  3. Submit poster for feedback
  4. Edit poster, as needed
  5. Submit poster for final approval
  6. Print poster
  7. Bring poster home after conference

The CFAR will not support the printing of posters unless the complete instructions are followed.
