Biostatistics Core
The primary goal of the CFAR Biostatistics Core is to strengthen the statistical science and rigor of HIV/AIDS-related research. Core services are designed to increase the capacity of Emory CFAR investigators' ability to conduct innovative studies and to publish their results. The Biostatistics Core is located at the Rollins School of Public Health.

Biostatistical Support
- Proposal development, study design, data analysis, and publications
Bioinformatics and Data Management Consulting Services
- Establish and maintain databases, data management, and data analysis for laboratory research
New Statistical Methodology
- Develop and maintain a library of algorithms and software
- Specialized expertise and methodological innovations necessary for addressing complex statistical issues
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Development of on-line materials and tutorials
- Mentored training opportunities for CFAR developmental grant recipients, junior investigators, new HIV/AIDS investigators, post-doctoral fellows, biostatistics graduate students, Emory AITRP fellows, and other visiting international investigators
- Facilitate entry into the "Biostatistics for Clinical Investigators" short course
- "Biostatistics for Laboratory Investigators" short course
